When you walk into a travel agency, they have just one agenda: to sell you the most expensive travel package they can. The more you pay for your travel, the more they at the travel agency get. That’s the most important reason you should not go into a travel agency before you know what you want.
Then where to find that information?
Simply surf the web, looking for travel reviews online. Many third party reviews are less one-sided and give you more accurate information about which places to visit. There are always hidden agendas, but by reading many reviews you can sort them out.
For example, say you are traveling to London and have some extra time you’d like to spend. You can read up on London attractions and if you get interested in one, just typethe name of the attraction and ‘review’ on Google. You’ll find plenty of reviews by many visitors.
